My old Vespa

The second motorcycle/scooter that I owned was an All State knockoff of a Vespa. I wrote about this, finding a similar machine in Tainan last year,

I have since found a better picture of it on the streets of Seattle.

This version has the two part seat that I remember, and the minimal instrumentation compared to today's scooters.

How come whitewall tires aren't coming back into style?

And foot brakes too?
