Taipei has some nice ones, as long as they are going to be seen my lots of people everyday, you might as well make them nice to look at.
In some of the tourist areas the manhole cover is made of brass, I sure that in US this kind of cover would have been stolen my some meth addict.
Nice geometric design with the stylize combination of Chinese characters and English script for TAIPEI.
